Dennis is an associate professor of theatre and artistic director for the University Theatre. A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in theatre from Southwest Texas State University and his Ph.D. from KU. He has directed such KU productions as Antigone, Trojan Women, Electra, Dracula, Orestes, The Time Machine, Bacchae, Agamemnon, The King Stag, Eumenides, Through the Looking Glass, The Odyssey, A Congress of Women, and Talley’s Folly. His KU design credits include such productions as Don Giovanni, A Doll’s House, Tovarich, Over Here!, Dracula, Kiss Me, Kate, A Midsummer Night‘s Dream, Anna in the Tropics, The Odyssey, Pageant, West Side Story, Othello and Jesus Christ Superstar. In addition to design, Dennis’ area of interest is in both classical and contemporary Greek theatre. He is the program director for KU Summer Theatre in Greece.
