Strong Signals, Varied Voices

Sign on for script-in-hand readings of contemporary plays, presented in the style of live radio drama inspired by Orson Welles’s The Mercury Theatre on the Air. Taking theatre at KU to a new frequency, this livestreaming series features recently published works by Sheri Wilner and B.J. Tindal, as well as new plays in development by Associate Professor of English Darren Canady and PhD Candidate Alysha Griffin. Curated by Professor and Chair of the Department of Theatre & Dance Henry Bial, the readings will also feature post-show conversations with the playwrights. We hope the series resonates with you, wherever you’re tuning in.
