A Tony-winning rock musical about grief, family and the ethics of modern psychiatry.

Under the guise of a perfect family in the suburbs, a grief-stricken mother struggles with bipolar disorder and delusions that has nearly torn her family apart. With familiar and timely subject matter set to an energetic pop-rock score, this deeply moving musical explores trauma, mental health treatment and the meaning of family.

COVID-19 and Our Production Season

In accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines and in the interest of protecting the health and safety of our patrons, students, faculty, and staff, all upcoming performances by the University Theatre and University Dance company have been postponed or cancelled.
