William Inge Memorial Theatre
Located in Murphy Hall on the KU campus, the William Inge Memorial Theatre is a "black box" venue and features general admission seating of approximately 80 - 120 based on the configuration used for each production. The theatre is named for William Inge (1913-1973), a Pulitzer Prize and Academy Award-winning playwright/screenwriter. Inge was a 1935 graduate of the University of Kansas.
Food is not allowed in the William Inge Memorial Theatre. Bottled and lidded drinks are allowed.
Due to the intimate nature of the Inge Theatre latecomers cannot be seated after a performance begins.
The Inge Theatre is available for rental by campus and outside organizations during limited windows of time each season. For more information visit Facility Use and Technical Specifications.
