How to register & prepare:

  • You will need to create a free profile on Casting Manager if you do not already have one
    • Use the link above to register
    • Please upload a profile photo that clearly shows your face
    • Upload a performance resume or list your experience on your profile
    • Other casting information, contacts, education, training, and awards are all optional
  • Register for the audition
    • Choose an audition date and time
      • If you are unable to attend open call contact Jim Dick at jldick@ku.edu to discuss possible alternate arrangements
    • There is a calendar where you can mark specific dates you have conflicts
      • View Conflict Information for the specific rehearsal dates for each production
      • Please list as much detail as possible in the conflict notes
    • Your profile and registration information can be updated up until the audition date
  • Prepare for the audition
    • Please prepare a one-minute monologue of your choice
    • If you wish to be considered for the musical prepare 32 bars (approximately 30-45 seconds) from a musical theatre song of your choice
      • Bring sheet music in your key and be ready to sing with accompaniment
      • We prefer that you do not sing with tracks or sing acapella if possible, however if this is your only option, please do not let this hold you back from auditioning

Scripts of the productions to be cast are available in 317 Murphy.

Callbacks:

Invited callbacks will take place August 26-27, 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Murphy 354. Callback lists will be posted each morning on this page and in the Murphy Green Room.
