What to Expect
Final Run Thru
Call Time: 6:15p | End Time: dependent on length of show, no later than 10p.

- Meet the creative team, performers & other crew members
- Watch the show!
- Production Manager will release the crew.
Crew Training
Call Time: 6:00p
- Sign in
- Crew should be in closed-toed shoes
- Announcements/what to expect
- Split up into Technical Track (led by GTA/staff/stage management) to learn responsibilities/equipment
- Work through deck shifts as necessary
- Quick Change Rehearsal
- Lighting/Sound/Projections cue to cue - first look for Creative Team at cues.
- Production Manager will release the crew.
Tech
If 8/10 - Call Time: 12p | End Time: 10p (with a 2 hour break in the middle)
If an evening Tech - Call Time: 6p | End Time: 10p.
- Sign in
- Crew should be in closed-toed shoes
- Cue to Cue - a slow work through, skipping non-tech moments
- May include a fair amount of “Hurry up & Wait” - bring a book/quiet activity that is NOT a screen
- Tech Run - a run through that will likely include stops/fixes.
- Focus on Lighting/Sound/Projections/Deck moves
- There will be a brief post-run check in led by Stage Management.
- Stage Management will release the crew.
- *Wardrobe Crew will likely not be called for all techs
Dress
Call Time: SM/Wardrobe: 5:30p / All other crew 6p | End Time: 10p / Wardrobe: After laundry
- Sign in
- Crew should be in all-black clothing.
- First Dress/Tech w/ Dress - a work through, including non-tech moments, in costume.
- Focus on Quick Changes
- Second Dress - ideally a run through, with all technical elements.
- May do some notes/fixes before/after the run
- Final Dress - a run, likely with invited audience. Archival Photo/Video.
- There will be a brief post-run check in led by Stage Management.
- Stage Management will release the crew.
Performances
Call time: SM/Wardrobe: 5:30p / All other crew 6p | End Time: run time dependent / Wardrobe: After laundry
- Sign in.
- Follow Run Sheet to perform preshow, run, and postshow duties.
- Execute cues given by stage management.
- Stage Management will release the crew following postshow duties.
- Crew may be asked to stay for talkbacks/KCACTF response.
Strike
Call Time: directly after Final Performance
- All Crew report in to Alex/Stage Management, will likely stay in the same departments for the strike.
- Deconstruct set, put away props/costumes as possible, take down lights, put away com/run lights, clean dressing rooms/green room, other show-dependent duties as assigned.
- When strike concludes, Stage Manager will take role and then release.
