An astronomer harnesses her pioneering spirit as she reckons with wonder and limitation, family loyalty and being true to herself. Henrietta Leavitt and her female peers at the Harvard Observatory pull together in the name of cosmic ambition and find ways to break through the strict social customs of the early 1900s. Charting the stars sparks experiments of the mind and of the heart, and Henrietta soon learns sacrifice is magnified with success. Based on a true story and a passion to know the unknown.
